The Center for Digital Government awards Richmond 2nd place in the top ten cities, 125,000 - 249,999 population category. The Digital Cities Survey examines and assesses how city governments are utilizing information technology to operate and deliver quality service to their customers and citizens.

2005 Digital Government Achievement Award
The Center for Digital Government selects Richmond as a 2005 DGAA winner in the Government to Citizen category for the Richmond Traffic Conditions and Hazards Web Page. The application has eliminated approximately 75% of media inquiries normally received by the 911 center and permits 911 call-takers to dedicate more time and attention to emergency 911 calls. |

2004 Best of the Web
The Center for Digital Government awards Richmond 2nd place in the Government-to-Government portal for its Graduated Intervention Levels System (GILS) web application for Juvenile Justice. The GILS system is an internal web based application that supports referrals and client tracking needs for the Department of Juvenile Justice and the workers at the Court Services Unit of the 13th District Court. It has been recognized due to its groundbreaking accomplishments as a G2G application between the City DJJ and the State Court Unit. |
