Exciting Things In DIT

DIT has proudly served the City of Richmond for over 35 years. We maintain a stable infrastructure through an evolutionary development life-cycle. Some of exciting things going on DIT.


Team Building Events  

These activities or events are designed to provide our staff members, our clients, and significant others the opportunity to know each other on a personal level. These events generate positive morale; promote respect and cohesiveness among all participants.

Previous events include bowling, pool/billiard, dining, and attending concerts.

Events are scheduled approximately every two months. Come and join us!

Employee Recognition  
StarGram   This is a graphically designed “memo” to the employee. Peers, subordinates, supervisors and their superiors, the Chief Administrative Officer and his staff, citizens, and elected officials may send a StarGram to an employee or team of employees who have rendered “delightful” and “outstanding” performance. The specific behavior must be stated in the StarGram.

The StarGram is an initial level of employee recognition directly linked to instances of unusual performance and exhibition of the specific desired behaviors. A StarGram may be used in lieu of or in addition to other rewards/recognition activities.

Monthly Awards  

The DIT Management nominates individuals from within their bureaus that they feel have been the “Innovator of the Month”. A vote is taken and the majority rules on the individual selected. The selected individual is announced and awarded a certificate and a gift during the monthly Departmental Birthday Celebration.
