Public Art |

The Public Art Commission, a branch of the Planning Commission for the City of
Richmond, administrated the Main Street Station public art project through a
call for entry process in 2001. This public art is made possible by the One
Percent For the Arts program, whereby a one percent allocation for art is
earmarked from construction projects having budgets over $250,000.

Series of three paintings titled "Richmond Crossings" by
artist Stephen Fox; these are exhibited in the main entrance of the
station.

Sculpture entitled "Skyrider" by John Newman which is
installed above the parking plaza across from the station.
