Mayor's Youth Academy > How To Apply

The Mayor’s Youth Academy is open to all City of Richmond youth, ages (13-19), who are enrolled in either a secondary or post-secondary educational institution.

Please visit the Program Overview section for program specific age requirements.

Eligible participants must be registered as full-time students during the preceding academic year.

Applicants may be asked to provide proof of residency and/or school enrollment as a condition of acceptance into the Academy.

Youth are not required to have previous work experience to apply, but they must meet the program’s eligibility criteria.

The 2017 Mayor’s Youth Academy Summer Enrollment period will open on February 1, 2017 for "Kings Dominion" and for "Reynolds Institute"
