Neighbor-To-Neighbor (N2N) recruits both city and non-city residents to serve as volunteers, leveraging service as a strategy to “Build One Richmond.”


  The 12th Annual Latin Jazz & Salsa Festival

Volunteers are needed to help with parking logistics at the 12th Annual Latin Jazz and Salsa Show Festival. The Free event runs on Saturday, September 24, 2019, 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and features various musical acts, including The King and His Court, Tito Puente Jr, along with many other performers such as Melina Amordoval, Wanda Lopez, Melena La Timbera, Rafael Ortiz y Su Tumbao Urbano Orqestra, Friday Love, Kadencia Orqestra, DJ Eddy Mayorga. The family-friendly festival will feature food vendors, community outreach programs, and activities for kids.

  Human Resources:   Wellness Weeks

Volunteers are needed in September and October 2019 to assist with the City’s HR Department Wellness Weeks (replacing the previous Health Fair).

Wellness Weeks will be held at various locations throughout the city with the goal of reaching MORE employees and offering various activities. The weeks include seminars pertaining to Financial Wellness, Healthy Eating, Stress Management, Fitness, and more! There will be chances to win incentives and learning opportunities to gain a holistic approach to wellness!

  Imagine Festival:   Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are needed on September 28, 2019
to serve at the Office of Multicultural Affairs Imagine Festival. The event will feature international music, dance, children’s games, food, play, and health services providers.

RPS Shines! 2019 Beautification Days

• Volunteers will beautify school buildings and grounds by painting walls,
   organizing libraries, picking up trash, weeding gardens, and more
.

Bathroom Blitz - Volunteers with expertise in plumbing, electrical work,
   painting, and deep cleaning are needed to help us continue the work of
   upgrading our school bathrooms. Click here to volunteer your time for one

Community Murals - Led by local artists and neighborhood leaders,
   community members will help create beautiful murals for our schools that

  RPS’ Brothers United:   Mentors Needed

Brothers United Mentoring Program will be expanding to Chimborazo, Miles Jones, Oak Grove, and Woodville elementary schools this coming school year! This program, which pairs young men of color with adult mentors of color, is currently recruiting mentors for the 2019-20 school year.
