Officer of the Month

Officer John Raina is the Richmond Police Department Officer of the Month from February, 2011!

Officer John Raina was first on scene for the Grove Avenue fire last month. He alerted the inhabitants and made sure they escaped unharmed.

But flames jumped to the top of an outdoor kennel with a dog still inside -- so he and a firefighter tore open the gate to free the frightened dog.

It's no wonder the citizens and officers of Sector 313 have a colorful nickname for him.

Congratulations Officer Raina!
