During the month of July, Officer John Grazioso of Sector 113

  • Attended Civic Group Meetings
  • Conducted foot patrols
  • Conducted traffic check points in his Sector

During the month of July, Officer Grazioso made 33 arrests, served 8 warrants and issued 16 summonses. He also answered 104 radio calls, assisted 44 officers and had 51 sight calls.

His problem solving skills were evident during the month when he coordinated an enforcement plan that addressed issues related to the illegal use and theft of scooters and mopeds in his sector. This enforcement effort educated other officers and citizens about the laws and safe operation of scooters and mopeds on city streets.

Officer Grazioso conducted foot patrols in the area of the East Lawn Shopping Center located near Creighton Court, which reduced loitering and trespassing. His efforts provided an after school program that operates in the shopping center to create a clean and safe environment for the students who attend classes there.

The July Officers of the Month for their respective precincts are: Officer Shawn Turkalj, Second Precinct; Officer Richard Kelly, Third Precinct; and Officer Austin Darnell, Fourth Precinct.
