Sergeant of the Month

During the month of July, Second Precinct Sgt. Tommy Lloyd

  • Helped decrease violent crime in Sector 212 by 53%
  • Coordinated walking patrols in Second Precinct
  • Educated residents in Sector 212 of crime trends, resulting in crime prevention

Two citizens expressed an interest in personally meeting with the officers in Sector 212. Sergeant Lloyd invited the citizens to a roll call where they were able to personally meet the officers of Sector 212.

Sergeant Lloyd also conducted the following initiatives in Sector 212

  • Increased walking patrols in the neighborhoods of Southwood, Elkhardt, and Brookhaven Farms
  • Conducted three warrant sweeps in each of the targeted neighborhoods
  • Increased Field Interview Reports
  • Distributed crime prevention brochures during walking assignments
  • Addressed quality of life issues in his sector which resulted in expressions of gratitude to Sergeant Lloyd and his officers from citizens

Sergeant Lloyd participated in walks with the officers in his sector, knocking on more than 60 doors in an effort to strengthen relationships with the community.
