Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers wants to help the Richmond Police Department solve a homicide from 2017.

On July 22 at 145 in the morning Richmond police responded to the 1900 block of Hopkins Road for call about multiple gunshots and a person down. When officers arrived, they located a 53 year old male victim, Melvin Chambliss, in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, those wounds proved to be fatal.

Mr. Chambliss was a long time resident of Richmond and known to be a hard worker. He worked two jobs, one full-time and he painted on the side. He was often known to work seven days a week. Please help provide justice for Melvin Chambliss and closure to his family.

If you have information about this murder or any unsolved crime or fugitive wanted in the Metro Richmond Area call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
