Richmond City Council has passed a Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program (VRIP). You will be able to participate in the VRIP if you are a general employee, you have a RRS Defined Benefit Plan or RRS Enhanced Defined Benefit Plan, and: you are age 55 or older and have at least 25 years of creditable service on July 1, 2019, or you are age 65 or older and have at least 5 years of creditable service on July 1, 2019. The RRS received finalized language on 06/10/2019, and all eligible employees will receive a VRIP Kit on or before 07/03/2019. If you believe that you may be eligible for the VRIP and do not receive a VRIP Kit by 07/03/2019, please contact the RRS by emailing or calling 804-646-5958.

HR announced dates for its 2019 Health Assessment Initiative. Retirees and their spouses can participate in the online assessment July 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019.

HR announced that retiree health insurance premiums are increasing effective January 1, 2019. Dental insurance premiums are not changing. Eligible retirees may add, drop, or modify coverage October 29, 2018 to November 16, 2018.
