Landfill |
Citizens may dispose of yard waste, appliances, tires, small trash, and large furniture items in the City's landfills. There is no gate fee, though there may be a fee for certain types of waste. Services may differ at each landfill. Call the landfill at East Richmond Road at (804)646-4706 or the Southside Transfer Station at (804) 232-8488. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. |

There are meeting rooms available for civic and public service meetings at the libraries, community centers, and other city community
facilities like park houses, the Carillon or Pine Camp Arts & Community Center. To find out more about reserving a space at one of the

Land Use Administration |
Land Use Administration is responsible for handling inquiries regarding the use of land and development in the city and updating the
Zoning Ordinance. Copies of the ordinance and maps are available to the public. This division of the Department of Planning and Development Review
is also responsible for processing special use permits, conditional use permits, community unit plans, and rezoning and subdivision
