Climate/Sustainability Plan Development

This Project will utilize Technical Consultant Services to build upon the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory and opportunity assessments performed during the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy (EECS) development to create a comprehensive plan to address environmental/climate, social, and economic sustainability issues in both City government operations and the Community at large. Topics covered in the Plan are anticipated to include infrastructure, commerce and trade, green technology, public advocacy and outreach, energy efficiency, utility and operations cost savings, and other green benefits for the City and Community. Visibility for this effort is expected to be high with direct involvement of community and government stakeholders. This activity will be managed the City’s Sustainability Director – a position that is being proposed in this EECS under the topic “Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Effort.”
