The Office of the City Clerk plans and directs the administrative functions of the
Council as set forth in the City Charter and in City and State Codes. The Office
maintains the official record of ordinances and resolutions considered by the
Council and preserves an accurate and concise journal of City Council proceedings,
which becomes the official and permanent record of the Legislative Body. The City
Clerk is the custodian of the City Seal and certifies and attests official documents.
