Welcome to the East District Initiative's Website
The East District Initiative (EDI) was launched in 1993 as a community-based public service delivery system.
EDI was established to mobilize the community creating a partnership that would give residents a defined role within a community action plan. The process of creating the action plan gave residents an opportunity to prioritize needs and provide input into how the programs and services would be structured and delivered to improve both the human and physical condition of the community.
