Richmond Ready!
Richmond Ready is a concept the City adopted to ensure that the citizens,
public safety officials and private partners in planning, are educated in preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.
The Richmond Public School system is partnering with the City in conducting four, 4 hour training sessions this calendar year.
There are certain preparations that everyone should make to ensure that they and their loved ones are safe and self-sufficient until help can arrive or normal
conditions resume:
- Make a plan.
- Build a disaster kit.
- Tune to WRIR 97.3 FM during an emergency.
Download and read the City’s Citizens’ Emergency Preparedness Guide to learn more about what you should do to make sure you remain safe during a crisis.
During an actual emergency, tune your radio to 97.3 FM for official, up-to-the-minute information from the City of Richmond, or call 646-HELP to request critical services.
