Personal Property Tax and vehicle license payments are due May 1. Contact the Tax Assessment Office at
(804) 646-5700 with questions regarding your bill or should you not receive a bill for any vehicle(s) you own.

2009 Business Personal Property Taxes
Filing and payment of Business personal property taxes is now a two step process.
Step 1: Submit a listing of property subject to 2009 business personal property taxes on the form provided by the
Finance Department. Upon receipt of this information, you will be issued a tax bill that is due on May 1 (Step 2). A payment is
not due with this filing.
Step 2: Submit your payment for the 2009 tax year on or before May 1, 2009. Upon receipt of your information in Step 1,
you will be issued a tax bill that is due on May 1, 2009. Contact the Tax Assessment Office at (804)646-5700
with questions regarding your bill or should you not receive the form necessary for Step 1 or a bill to submit your
payment in Step 2.

Restricted Parking Permits
Residents of the Fan and Carver Districts are required to obtain a permit to park for periods greater than 1 hour during
specified times. The requirements for each district can be obtained on the
Restricted Parking District page of the Finance Department web site.
There are application requirements for each district and there are some unique aspects of each parking district. From the
Restricted Parking District
page, there are links to the specific information and applications for each district. To obtain a permit and annual visitor’s pass(es),
select the district for which you wish to obtain a permit, complete the necessary forms and submit them as noted on the form.
