Nov. 11th 2009: Southside units battle house fire. |
|
|
On November 11th at 1249, Richmond Fire units were dispatched to 2100 block of Halifax Ave for a reported house fire. Rescue 3 arrived on scene with a 2-story wood frame residence with flames visible on the D-side of the structure. Rescue 3 and Q-13 entered the house and found fire on the first and second floor. The fire was extinguished with 1.75" handlines. The Red Cross was called in to assist four people displaced by the fire. The incident was marked under control at 1303. Fire investigators remained on scene until 1500.

Nov. 10th, 2009: Structure fire on N Boulevard.. |

On November 10th at 0053 units were dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Boulevard for a structure fire. Rescue 2 arrived on-scene with smoke showing from the middle bay of a strip mall. The fire was marked under control at 0122. The fire caused $90,000 in damage and is under investigation.
