On March 11, at 3:34 p.m. tones sounded alerting Q-6, E-5, Q-12, Q-10, R-2, BC-1 for a reported house fire on the 700 Blk of Albemarle St. As Q-6 marked enroute they noticed a large column of smoke in the area. Q-6 arrived on scene at 3:38 and reported “on location with a two-story woodframe Rowhouse fully involved and give me the 2nd alarm assignment”. Q-6 secured a primary hydrant and began fire attack as E-5 secured the second hydrant and assisted with fire attack. Q-12 performed Truck Company operations as Q-10 was assigned RIT, R-2 did a primary search of the Rowhouse. The second alarm assignment included Q-1, R-1, Q-17, E-13, R-3, and BC-3.
At 4:10, evacuation tones sounded alerting fire personnel to exit the structure.
The fire was marked under control at 4:53 p.m.
The Red Cross was on location assisting 9 adults. Several pets were rescued sadly, one dog perished in the fire. The fire has been ruled as accidental, the rowhouse contained three residencies.
