Camps 'N' Kids The department offers specialty camps in sports, dance and cultural arts. Register your children in one of our camps and they can play basketball with former NBA star Cory Alexander, learn golf skills in the First Tee golf program or enjoy art classes at the James River. Traditional instructional camps in soccer, swimming, tennis, cheerleading and much more.
Spaces are limited so register early! Registration is ongoing.
Adventure through Time - The Great Summer Escape Day Camps
Location: local community centers
Weekdays, June 22 – August 21, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Ages: 6 - 12
Fees: $225
Non - City Residents pay an additional $20
Registration for City Residents only: April 16, 6 - 8 pm at each community center then registrations will be taken on-going until all locations are at full capacity. Note: Camp registration for Mary Munford will be held at the Round House in Byrd Park on Thursday, April 16. Registration for non-city residents will begin on May 15.
Activities include: structured recreational and learning activities, games, playground activities, cultural arts, athletic activities, swimming, golf and tennis lessons, mini - instructional camps, trips and entertainment. Some activities may require an additional fee and permission slip.
Meals (breakfast and lunch) are provided free by the USDA Summer Meals for Kids Program.
