The City Dance Program offers complete training in a wide variety of dance disciplines and related movement for both children and adults. All of our instructors are fully qualified professionals, possessing many years of teaching and performing experience.
Our children’s classes run all year, so that the young dancers can take time to achieve mastery over their chosen dance form. Our classes are age appropriate and based on the developmental needs of each student. Our more advanced classes are graded on experience and natural abilities. Students can choose from the regular class schedule or the intensive program, which is designed for the more serious dancer.
Our most important objective is to instill life-skills through the art of dance. For the many children who learn kinetically, their schoolwork sometimes improves dramatically; and all students benefit from their gains in confidence and coordination. Our adult classes run 10 weeks per semester; but students may join at any time.

Registration
Our children’s program consists of three semesters Fall (September - December); Winter (January - March); and Spring (March - June). No new students will be accepted for the Spring Semester, as this is devoted to preparation for the end of year performance.
Participants must register in person. No phone registrations are accepted. In addition to the general fine arts registration form, parents are required to fill out an application form specifically designed for dance classes. Students are accepted on a first come - first served basis. Classes are limited to 28 students. Instructors will place students in the class best suited to their age and ability. If there is a scheduling conflict, your child can be placed in a lower level class.
It is important to note that the children's classes are on-going throughout the year. Therefore, new child students can only be accepted if there is room available.
All youth dance participants need leotards, tights, and the appropriate foot-wear for the style of dance chosen. Footwear must be correctly fitted. No shorts, skirts, jeans, or over-sized cover-ups will be permitted in class. Parents of dancers in classes at the intermediate level and above should consult with the instructor for their preferred colors and shoes. Further requirements will be given at the time of registration.
