Senior Citizen Clubs & Activities
|
|
Richmond's youth are not the only ones having fun. Senior adults 55 and older participate in senior clubs and organizations Citywide enjoying programs, such as swimming, art and exercise classes and fun-filled outings.
Some past outings include:"A Day at the Races" - Laurel Park, Maryland; lunch at the Jefferson Hotel & a tour of the City; bay fishing at Lynhaven Marina in Virginia Beach; shopping in New York; and, simply enjoying the serene outdoors at Pumunkey Ridge Girl Scout Camp.
Our department actively works with The Affiliated Senior Citizens of Metropolitan Richmond.
In addition to the assistance given to the many senior adult groups, our staff also coordinates numerous trips, activities, and special events. Senior program specialists work with more senior clubs throughout the city.
