Grace St. Richmond, Va 23220 Customer Service (804) 646-6842 Non-Emergency (804) 646-5100 911-Emergency E-mail Police Media Relations Department Officer of the Month -- March 2006    Officer Jason Norton -- Sector 412    When Officer Jason Norton observed a man riding an off-road motorcycle with no headlight or helmet he initiated a traffic stop.    When Norton discovered a gun during a pat down, the suspect hit Norton in the face and ran away. Officer Norton chased the suspect and called for assistance. The suspect was located along with his jacket and gun. He was charged with numerous crimes including grand theft auto and felony assault on a police officer.    Also in March, Norton arrested five people for DUI, one of which was a felony.    Officer Norton participated in a community meeting for Sector 412 and was instrumental in setting up a partnership between Sector 412 and the YMCA on Old Brook Road.
