Around 1040 AM on the morning of April 02, 2004 police responded to the 3400 block of Carolina Ave on a report of a person shot. After units arrived on the scene they found the victim, Frederico Tarish Hawkins, dead in the middle of the street.
According to witnesses a blue Oldsmobile was seen leaving the area quickly after the shots were fired. Only one black male occupant was in the Oldsmobile.
