Fraud Investigation
The department provides fraud investigators to research and process fraud referrals
from the community, Commonwealth's Attorney's office, Social Services
Staff and the courts. The fraud team validates potential fraud and assembles
documents for prosecution of fraud violators by the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. The fraud
team determines the amount of food stamps over-issued or under issued determine potential fraud and whether duplicate authorization to purchase
food stamps should be granted to clients.
