Assessor of Real Estate
The Office of the Assessor of Real Estate is located in Room 802, City Hall, 900 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219.
This office conducts all real property appraisals for property in the city based on fair market values.

Attorney's Office

administration and elected officials. A citizen may file a claim for loss or

Behavioral Health Authority
The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is located at 107 South 5th Street.
The authority provides mental health, mental retardation and substance abuse
services for the citizens of Richmond.

Commonwealth Attorney's Office
The Commonwealth's Attorney Office is located in the John Marshall Courts Building,
400 North 9th Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219. The Commonwealth's Attorney is an
elected official whose office is responsible for prosecuting all criminal felony and
certain criminal misdemeanor cases in the city of Richmond. The office also manages
the Victim Witness Assistance Program, providing services that support the victims and
witnesses in cases prosecuted by this office.

Minority Business Development
The Office of Minority Business Development (OMBD) facilitates, produces and advances
opportunities for minority, emerging and disadvantaged businesses to successfully
participate in the full array of contracting opportunities available in the City of Richmond.
OMBD sets goals on city projects valued at/above $100,000.00 and then monitors these
contracts for compliance. Businesses registered with OMBD receive management, marketing and
technical assistance, as well as business development strategies that will assist in
positioning their firms to successfully compete for city contracts.

Treasurer's Office
The Richmond City Treasurer's Office is located in Room 107, in City Hall, 900 East Broad St., 23219.
The City Treasurer is an elected Constitutional Officer of The Commonwealth of Virginia. The emphasis
of this office is the collection of state income taxes. The office provides information and assistance
pertinent to state and federal income taxes. The office assists in the processing of U.S. Passport services.
Fishing and hunting licenses are sold in this office. Notary services are available.
