Download the Encroachment
Application*
Citizens or businesses wishing to encroach into the public right-of-way must submit the following:
-
Letter of request to the Director of Public Works;
-
A drawing showing the exact dimensions of the encroachments;
-
A non-refundable $1000 application fee; and
-
A completed application.
Each request is submitted for review to the Urban Design Committee or
Commission on Architectural Review and subsequently to City Council for final
approval. On average, the process takes approximately four weeks.
