Neighbor-to-Neighbor (N2N) recruits volunteers of all ages, races, ethnicities, genders, and faith persuasions who reside in the great City of Richmond, leveraging service as a strategy to “Build the Best Richmond."


Training Camp Football Field Training Camp Partnership Logos

This summer the Washington Redskins Training Camp will begin its fourth year at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center, located at 2401 West Leigh Street in Richmond, Virginia. The City of Richmond and Washington Redskins are looking for a core group of at least 250 volunteers to serve as the “face” of Richmond at training camp. Training camp Ambassadors help provide answers to questions about the city and training camp, highlight tourist destinations, restaurants, and points of interest, ensure the event runs smoothly, and make certain that visitors leave Richmond with positive memories and plans to return in the future.

The RVA East End Festival [May 6-8, 2016]
An inclusive community celebration highlighting the diverse neighborhoods and unique quality of Richmond’s East End, presented by the Richmond Symphony in collaboration with government and civic organizations. Proceeds from the festival will be used to support and enhance music education in Richmond Public Schools of the East End. A free outdoor concert by the Richmond Symphony, No BS! Brass Band, and vocalist Desiree Roots will kick off the three-day neighborhood festival devoted to the arts. Volunteers are needed to serve in various capacities.

Celebrate Jackson Ward Festival [May 20-22, 2016]
Celebrate Jackson Ward: Past, Present and Future will showcase the unique history of the Jackson Ward community. The event is presented by the Richmond Symphony in collaboration with government and civic organizations. Proceeds from the festival will be used to benefit the Friends Association for Children, The Black History Museum and Cultural Arts Center of Virginia and G.W. Carver Elementary School. The festival will feature three days of performances and activities under its new "Big Tent" with Virginia Repertory Theatre, Richmond Jazz Society, Elegba Folklore Society, and more. Also included is ART 180's annual spring showcase, The Really BIG Show.

Fit4Kids Garden Patch Salad Bar Launches with Richmond Public Schools

Eat Fresh RPS is an exciting new initiative to dramatically increase the amount of fresh fruits and vegetables eaten by students in Richmond Public Schools. During the 2015-2016 academic year, Eat Fresh RPS is installing salad bars in 20 local schools. And we need your help! Volunteers are needed during February, March, April, and May, 2016 to assist with the salad bar launches by (1) Introducing students to the salad bar and encourage them to try new items, (2) Helping younger students serve themselves from the salad bars, (3) Keeping the line of students flowing through the cafeteria, and (4) Assisting with cleanliness of the salad bar.
