This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving an aggravated assault.
On July 4, shortly after 11 p.m., the victim was walking with a friend in the 2200 block of West Grace Street when he suddenly fell to the ground. After being transported to VCU Medical Center doctors discovered he had been shot in the back of the head and notified police. The victim of this crime remains hospitalized because of this incident.
Our investigation has led us to believe that the victim was not the intentional target of violence.
The victim’s family is offering and additional $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this crime.
