This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving an aggravated assault.
On July 4, shortly after 11 p.m., the victim was walking with a friend in the 2200 block of West Grace Street when he suddenly fell to the ground. After being transported to VCU Medical Center doctors discovered he had been shot in the back of the head and notified police. A .40 caliber handgun was used in this incident. The victim is still recovering from this incident.
Our investigation has led us to believe that the victim was not the intentional target of violence.

The family has established an additional $5,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
