This week Crime Stoppers need your help identifying the suspect involved in a counterfeit check case in Hanover County.
Between October 4th and 6th of 2007 an unknown suspect passed counterfeit checks at retail business in the Mechanicsville area. The checks were signed using the name “Jim Taylor”. Hanover investigators also discovered that similar incidents occurred in both Henrico County and Chesterfield County during the same time frame.
The suspects’ photo was captured on surveillance cameras and can be seen on the Crime Stoppers website at crimestoppersrichmondvirginia.com. At the time the suspect was believed to be driving a dark colored Ford Explorer with light colored trim, a luggage rack and no front license plate.
 
Counterfeit Check Suspect and Vehicle
If you have any information about this crime or information of any other crime in the City of Richmond or the counties of Henrico, Hanover, New Kent, Goochland, or Charles City, call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
