Department Officer of the Month -- February 2006

Officer Angela Palmer -- Sector 212
It is for her consistently excellent police work that Officer Angela Palmer of Sector 212 was chosen as February’s Officer of the Month.
In February Officer Palmer had 95 self-initiated calls, 170 radio calls, five felony arrests, and 42 misdemeanor arrests. In 2005 Palmer made 130 arrests.
Officer Palmer actively seeks out criminals in Sector 212 and removes them by making quality arrests. “She knows her sector and is quick to notice people and situations that don’t belong,” said Sgt. Thomas Leonard.
Officer Palmer spends a great deal on time on foot patrol, maintaining a personal relationship with the community she serves. The compassion Palmer shows to the residents of Sector 212 is one of the hallmarks of her success.
Palmer does all this with an upbeat, positive attitude that serves as an example to her fellow officers.
