Officer Picard was placed on special assignment as Fourth Precint's Community Liaison Officer during February. His goal was to address a variety of systemic issues within his sector. During this special assignment Officer Picard extended his assistance to the community.
With the support of Child Save, Officer Picard co-facilitated a Child Watch training session for citizens in the community. Phone calls were made and businesses were contacted for extra support which drew in 22 people for the training.
Officer Picard offers his free time to several organizations within the city, including Boaz and Ruth, Boys and Girls Club, and the Central Virginia Food Bank. During February, Officer Picard coordinated with several other city departments to make sector 411 more desirable for the citizens.
