Officer Stuart Hannah -- Sector 112
Officer Stuart Hannah is an aggressive officer. But it’s a good type of aggression.
Hannah patrols Sector 112 on evening shift. He has taken ownership of the area and the community he serves. He even created a binder with pictures of known criminals in the neighborhoods, including their nicknames.
“He is an exemplary officer who has proven to be aggressive toward offenders with a sympathetic ear to the community he serves,” said Sgt. Angela Greene, who nominated him for the Officer of the Month award.
Because of his demonstrated tenacity toward his duties, Hannah is the Department’s Officer of the Month for November.
Hannah has led the entire A/B evening shift squads in arrests for on-view misdemeanors, number of units assisted, sight calls, and radio calls.
The biggest help Hannah provided in November was assisting detectives in finding the suspect in the shooting of a woman and her 9-month-old baby. Their wounds were not life threatening. Hannah’s handy binder helped track down the suspect, whom the victim only knew by his nickname.
