During the month of October, Officer Christina Kenney of Sector 312
• Caught two suspects wanted on 14 warrants in Richmond and Henrico,
• Handled 21 self-initiated calls, 104 radio calls, assisted other officers on calls and wrote 13 field interview reports, and
• Made four misdemeanor arrests and served 15 warrants.
Officer Kenney knows her sector and the people who live there. So she also knows when something isn’t quite right.
Last month Kenney saw a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence on Spruance Road known as a trouble spot. Kenney ran the vehicle’s tags and found the registered owner had multiple warrants out of Richmond and Henrico County. But the owner could not be located.
Kenney continued her investigation in the matter until a few days later she was able to arrest the owner of the vehicle on the outstanding warrants.
Proactive actions like these made Kenney the Department’s Officer of the Month for October.
The October Officers of the Month for their respective precincts are Officer Michael Polley, First Precinct; Officer Patrick Brady, Second Precinct; and Officer Brady McWhirter, Fourth Precinct.
