Natural Gas Service
Leaks
If you smell a strong, persistent natural gas odor, leave the premises immediately. DO NOT light a match or switch anything on or off. From the nearest phone outside the building, call the Department of Public Utilities' 24-hour emergency number at (804) 644-3000. Call 911 if you have any difficulties reaching that number.
New Connection
If you are a new gas customer and need to be connected to the gas service, please call the Department of Public Utilities, Energy Services Division, at (804) 646-5250. Contact the New Connection team at (804) 646-8544 for gas and water construction projects.
