Visitor Information
The Richmond Visitor's Center assists guests with locating hotel rooms, restaurants, museums, shops and other points of interest. There is a gift shop and brochures are available on site. Call (804) 783-7450, or visit the center at 405. N. 3rd Street in the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

Vital Statistics

Medical Records/Death Certificates
The Department of Public Health's Office of Vital Statistics provides copies of medical records and death certificates for deaths that occur in the city. Call (804) 646-3122 or visit the office at 900 East Marshall Street. Only members of the immediate family will be granted a copy of the death certificate, and picture identification must be presented. There is an $8 charge per copy.

Birth Certificates
The Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Vital Statistics issues copies of birth certificates for $8 each. Please contact the office at (804) 662-6200, or visit them at Suite 275, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive, inside the Shops at Willow Lawn mall. The office offers an express delivery service but no faxing services.

Voter Registrar
The Office of the General Registrar is located in Room 105, City Hall, 900 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219. The Registrar's Office registers qualified citizens to vote, maintains voter registration records, and conducts the City's elections. The latter is performed under the supervision of the City of Richmond Electoral Board. All citizens who wish to vote must be registered with this office.
